Mysol develops solar-powered products for communities with limited or unreliable access to the electrical grid. We worked with the team to design Neo and Teevo, establishing a shared industrial design language across both products while balancing manufacturing cost, durability, and the realities of everyday use in off-grid homes.
Designing within cost limits
Molded textures, color breaks, and enclosure geometry give Mysol a consistent identity that clearly sets it apart from competitors, while still keeping manufacturing costs low.

Responding to field research
Field research showed people placing objects on top of the device, which could be a fire risk. We gave Teevo a sloped top to discourage stacking above heat-generating electronics.

Designed to adapt
Neo was developed to work equally well on a wall or tabletop, with a single enclosure accommodating both orientations without the need for separate product variants.
